What do I do with one day? That is what is left for me in Korea. 1,460 days have passed as I anchored life here. There are so many things I could do.
I'm packed, my room is clean and I just have to take care of "leaving" paperwork.
I want to spend the day with people--a meeting with friends for a hike and a snack, a fair well dinner with people from church should do.
I want to go to the bath house--wear my birthday suit with the ladies in order to walk out cleaner and softer. For one last time I'll convince myself that they stare because I'm a foreigner.
I ate dinner with my "Korean family" last night. On the way out the door and down the elevator Justin made a funny and insightful comment. I thanked his dad for allowing me to be a part of their family. Justin said, "Ju-lene, it is like we are 'a, e, i, o, u' and you are the 'y'". What a profound insight for a 10 year old. I've felt that way too Justin.
