Pumpkin Carving Party

Saturday night there was a party full of Redding Naz Church people.  Pumpkin Carving Party at the Bakers.  I was all smiles.  Good food, good people and good fun.  A truly USA holiday celebrated in USA style.  Yeah! We had all been waiting to find out what the hosts meant by "psc".  It was a clue on the invitation to a new activity at this years annual "PCP" (Pumpkin Carving Party).  For weeks people had been guessing what "psc" would mean... pumpkin smashing contest, pumpkin spice cookies, pumpkin sailing contest, etc.  Nope.  We were all wrong.  It was "Pumpkin Speed Carving".  The old folks (35yrs and older) vs the young folks (35 yrs and younger).  We each had 90 seconds (in pairs) to work on our side of the pumpkin.  Unfortunately I think the old folks carved out victory.

You are in trouble stating "the old folks" vs. ....young! Especially since Steve and Jo were on the "oldsters" team this year. But I agree, it was a good time had by all. I'm sooo glad you were part of us this year.

Oh, Julene! How are you? Been thinking about you. Betsy is in Portland, now, too. So, I am thinking more about Korea and the people I knew there.
It's funny, because Sharon was just here in Portland, visiting Betsy, and then she is on your blog! She's everywhere!:) Gotta love that.
When are you coming to Portland?
