Olivitian Benedictine Sister in Busan

I have made some very special friends in Korea. Sister Elisa, Sister Anna Marie, Sister Agnes, and Sister Fidelia are a few of these friends. They have welcomed me, the foreigner who struggles with their language, with open arms. I'm grateful for their patience, their hospitality, and love. For me they are THE most beautiful part of Korea.

This visit we went to Kyeong Ju together. It was the power seat of the old Shilla Dynasty in Korea and the sisters took great honor in showing me the sights. I saw an impressive Buddhist temple, pagoda's, tombs, an old freezer room, and my favorite--fields of lotus flowers. Kyeong Ju was a pleasant place to be. After spending my summer in a box like room, among bars, high rises and filth, it was wonderful to be in a country setting with fresh air and a SKY LINE! Fresh air! No apartments! Mountains!
